Description
Scholarships are awarded based on the applicant's weighted grade average. If two or more applicants have the same average, the number of completed ECTS credits is used as a tie-breaker. Each field of study is allocated a specific percentage of the total scholarship fund.

Eligibility
Austrian Citizens and Equivalent Status, including:
- EEA Citizens (incl. Swiss citizens): Treated the same as Austrian citizens for scholarship applications.
Third-Country Nationals, eligible if they:
- Have permanent residence in Austria (5 years of continuous lawful residence), or
- Are family members of Union citizens working in Austria or Austrian citizens.
Stateless Persons: Treated the same as third-country nationals.
Convention Refugees: Treated as Austrian citizens (proof required, e.g., refugee passport).
- Applicants must be enrolled in a regular degree program at the University of Vienna and meet the study duration criteria, which include finishing the degree within the prescribed duration (plus one tolerance semester, if applicable).
