César Ritz Colleges Switzerland draws from nearly 40 years’ experience and the ethos of Swiss pioneer César Ritz to offer students a multi-campus learning experience focused on entrepreneurship and business management.

About

History

The programmes are based on the philosophy of César Ritz, founder of the famous Ritz hotels, who is recognised as the pioneer of luxury hotels. With hard work, innovation, flair, and a touch of class, César Ritz accomplished an unprecedented career in the hospitality industry and rose to legendary status. 

Education

Bachelor students specialise in hospitality and entrepreneurship, and their Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality Business Management degree (in partnership with Washington State University, USA) leads them to develop a fully elaborated, realistic business plan for a successful debut in the hospitality industry.

 

For graduate students, the Master of Arts in Entrepreneurship for the Global Hospitality and Tourism Industry, provides a contemporary curriculum preparing graduates to launch and maintain a sustainable and profitable business within a challenging global environment. The degree is awarded upon submission of a business plan / dissertation.

Career

Encompassing 3 main roles, our Swiss Education Group Career Services department works hand-in-hand with each school to offer all students a 5-star service. To do this, we have established our 3 pillars:

Student Services

When you join our hotel school, you will become a part of a bigger family. Whether you find yourself far from home for the first time, or if you need a bit of friendly academic advice, we make sure there is always someone you can talk to.​

  • Academic Office - Assists students with any administrative issues related to academics: study attestations, records of achievement, diplomas, class schedules, module exemptions.
  • Administrative Office - Availabe for questions regarding students visas, resident permits, invoices, and other enrolment information.

Housing services

  • Discover student life at our Le Bouveret campus, nestled on the shores of Lake Geneva. Sharing a campus with Culinary Arts Academy students, this campus is also home to the unique Mosimann Collection: A Culinary Heritage.
  • Discover our Lucerne campus (also shared with Culinary Arts Academy students), based in the heart of the city, offering the benefits of city living while enjoying all of the activities Lake Lucerne has to offer.
  • With its lovely old town and cobble-stoned streets, German-speaking Brig is nestled in the sunny Rhône Valley at the foot of the Alps. The campus is split between two buildings in the heart of Brig, with a full range of modern facilities.

Computer Room - It is accessible to students outside of class hours.

Medical services

The school provides students with health care coverage (including the daily cost of hospitalization in a shared room) and for corporal accident both on and off school premises in Switzerland and abroad. In case of accident or illness, students should first contact the reception or the student counselor who will organize further action.

César Ritz Colleges Switzerland is comprised of three campuses: the historic centre of Lucerne, lakeside at Le Bouveret, and at Brig.

  • Le Bouveret - Discover student life at our Le Bouveret campus, nestled on the shores of Lake Geneva. Sharing a campus with Culinary Arts Academy students, this campus is also home to the unique Mosimann Collection: A Culinary Heritage.
  • Lucerne - Discover our Lucerne campus ), based in the heart of the city, offering the benefits of city living while enjoying all of the activities Lake Lucerne has to offer.
  • Brig - This unique location is only an hour from Bern and under 2 hours from Milan, and offers the perfect chance to immerse yourself in the best of Swiss alpine life.

Sports facilities

The Sports and Leisure Coordinator and the Student Ambassador Forum organise various activities throughout the year, such as:

  • Ski trips to nearby world-class ski resorts with ski instructors if need
  • Snowshoe trips in the winter
  • Sport Days
  • Paintball, bungee jumping and many other fun activities

Student clubs

The aim of the Student Ambassador Forum is to represent the entire student body. The committee strives to offer students a diverse, unique and unforgettable college experience by:

  • Developing the student activities calendar every term
  • Organising extracurricular activities
  • Helping students solve communal and personal problems
  • Promoting a positive, tolerant and multicultural school environment

Accreditation

The Master of Arts degree is accredited by University of Derby, UK. The Bachelor’s degree is awarded is in partnership with Washington State University, USA. Additionally, close industry partnerships with global industry leaders, including the Ritz Paris and Switzerland Tourism, offer their guidance and experience to all students. 

All qualifications are recognised by the Canton of Valais in Switzerland. César Ritz Colleges Switzerland holds accreditation in Switzerland with EduQua. The main accrediting body for all training institutes in Switzerland.

César Ritz Colleges Switzerland holds international accreditation with THE-ICE (International Center of Excellence for Tourism and Hospitality Education).

It was a diverse program, as i engaged with the double degree with Washington State University and we did courses like Food Chemistry, Calculus, Statistic, Law, Psychology, International business to mention a few and i graduated with double degree both from Switzerland and Washington State University.
