The most popular event of the year is Antigua Sailing Week, which attracts visitors worldwide. Carnival is held at the end of August. Cricket is one of the most popular sports on the island and the International Cricket Association has approved AUA’s cricket field for practice matches.The largest city in Antigua is St. John’s (with a population of 24,226), while the largest city in Barbuda is Codrington.
Athletic fields are ready for soccer, beach volleyball, flag football, cricket, ultimate frisbee, and other sports. Tennis and basketball courts provide an outlet for your competitive spirit. The International Cricket Association has approved AUA’s cricket field for practice matches.
