As part of Hochschule Fresenius, University of Applied Sciences, the International Business School offers Bachelor and Master programs which are specifically intended to meet the business and intercultural challenges presented by globalization. Students receive an English-language education that specifically enables them to start their career in an international company or even abroad.

Hochschule Fresenius, University of Applied Sciences, is one of the oldest private universities in Germany. It is state-recognized, and has an tradition stretching back over 165 years. In collaboration with partners offering practical experience and in dialogue with associations, alumni and students, we have been refining our range of courses and their strategic balance on an ongoing basis. We strive equally to achieve our goals of sustainability and innovation. Its International Business School offers globally oriented students an international dimension in higher education. We offer Bachelor and Master courses delivered in English, which will give them the knowledge and the social skills of a global citizen.


Our study programs prepare students for the demands of globally operating companies and qualify them for entry-level positions in all relevant fields in those companies. Study materials based on practical cases and the latest research findings will enable them to take soundly based entrepreneurial decisions in their professional life. Graduates will find a broad range of areas where they can apply the business skills they have acquired to their working life. Regular feedback from cooperation partners indicates that our Bachelor and Master programs meet market requirements.

Student services

Hochschule Fresenius offers its students a wide range of different services. 

  • Our academic assistants support the students concerning all academic issues and organizational questions about their study programs.
  • Our International Services helps students organizing their time abroad, whether if it is a whole semester or just a few weeks.
  • Alumni & Corporate Relations offers our students many opportunities to improve their own career profile, to get in contact with business partners and alumni and support them finding an internship or a job.
  • The Competence Center Languages offers different language courses our students could attend at no charge. For international students we offer German courses.

Library services

Hochschule Fresenius has its own library. It provides university students, professors and staff with a range of specialized literature and reference materials tailored to the needs of international business studies. Along with printed books, magazines and further publications, the library provides electronic media, such as eBooks and databases for online-literature with attached magazine archives.

ICT services

Hochschule Fresenius provides computers and printers in the library and in the students lounge. Furthermore, the university has an IT service where students can borrow hardware and get support with technical questions. WiFi is free on campus.

Student Life

Campus life

To experience international culture also means being mobile, sometimes to leave your home surroundings and to complete your studies with a change of scenery by moving to another city. At least that’s the first step on the way to internationalism. By taking it, you will widen your circle of acquaintances and friends and get to know new people and cities. Flexible relocation means that you won’t lose any time or credits if you move to another campus of the Fresenius University of Applied Sciences. Continue to study comfortably and unbureaucratically in spite of moving.

Sports facilities

Hochschule Fresenius does not offer sport facilities, but students can take part in the extensive range of university sports of Cologne University. 

Student clubs

The Student`s Union of Hochschule Fresenius is very committed and regularly organizes events such as the summer and winter festivities, partys and the famous “Frese-Cup” which is hold every year at one the campuses in Munich, Cologne, Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Idstein or Berlin. Also the orientation week for first semester students is arranged by the Student`s Union.


The International Business School of Hochschule Fresenius offers highest quality of education, inter alia shown by the institutional accreditation by The German Council of Science and Humanities in 2016 and the system accreditation since 2015. All study programs passed the internal quality assurance, accredited and state-recognized.
