Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences

Our 6,300 students live and study on the largest green campus in Germany, made up of the Weihenstephan and the Triesdorf campuses. Our outstanding learning facilities include show gardens, pilot plants, laboratories, and a biotechnology centre. We work actively to preserve natural resources and ensure long-term competitiveness. We foster our students to become responsible engineers, and equip them with a first-class education with which to face the national and international employment market.

The winner of the competition for the new building of the Sports and Health Sciences department and the University Sports Center facilities on the TUM campus in Olympiapark has been decided. The vast majority of jurors chose a team from Bregenz, Austria. And the winner is… the architecture firm Dietrich Untertrifaller in collaboration with Balliana Schubert Landschaftsarchitekten AG (landscape architects).

Students participate in the running of the university through their elected representatives in the various bodies of the university. The role of the Student Council and the Representative Committee is to represent the academic, financial, and social interests of the students at the university. The student representatives within each department form the Departmental Student Councils.
