This course fosters individual artistic growth and exploration, focusing on practice-based study to nurture diverse artistic expression.
From traditional to cutting-edge techniques, access a range of practices spanning 2D, 3D, 4D, and hybrid approach, as well as workshops in sound drawing, performance painting, scale sculpture, performance, video, projection mapping, sound, traditional printmaking, welding, mould making, casting, critical and reflective writing. Refine your artistic practice in a nurturing environment that intersects creativity with social justice. Master working to briefs, exploring creative ideas solo and collaboratively, and expertly managing projects from inception to fruition.
Programme Structure
Our unit structure applies to all of our undergraduate courses and creates a culture that promotes curiosity and creative thinking that extends beyond subject boundaries. Thematic approaches encourage an environment of free-flowing creative learning and opportunities for collaboration. - We typically ask for between 104 - 120 UCAS points, earned through an Art & Design Foundation Diploma, A-levels, BTEC Extended Diploma MMM grade, Access to HE Art & Design, Irish/Scottish Highers/Advanced Highers, the International Baccalaureate, or other international qualifications.

Creative Scholarships (up to £2,000) - awarded on merit via a panel, applied to students entering the first year of study of either an Undergraduate or Postgraduate course. Applicants will need to meet benchmarks for excellence of portfolio and demonstrate a commitment to study.
Pro-Vice-Chancellor’s Arts University Plymouth Creative Excellence Award (£2,500) - available to students entering the first year of a full time BA (Hons) programme, awarded on a competitive basis by application with selection at the discretion of the Pro-Vice-Chancellor. There are two of these awards available.
