Overview

The mission of the department of Forestry and Natural Resources at National Ilan University is to provide professional undergraduate and graduate education as well as to explore the researches at the fields of diverse forest ecosystems, to survey, analyze, manage, and sustainably utilize the plants, animal, soil and water resources within them. With the belief that ecosystems are seamlessly and inseparably related to lives of human society, our department provides our students a rich array of academic resources of management of forests and natural resources/ecological application to life environment, to achieve the goal of universal sustainable development.

The department of Forestry and Natural Resources offers programs of bachelor and master degrees. The undergraduate program is comprised of three fields: Forest biology and ecology, Forest and natural resources management, and Forest products. Most courses are currently taught in Mandarin with English texts, and some are taught in English.
