Overview
This interdisciplinary Applied Science (Mathematics and Economics) program from University Sains Malaysia prepares the students to think across boundaries of Mathematics and train them to be able to compete in a real-world situation. Students are given training in combining and relating Mathematics and Statistics to the field of Economics. Computer skills in analyzing economic and financial data and skills in making informed decisions are also developed to a high level of sophistication. Among the courses that will be taught are Applied Statistics, Queuing Theory, Monetary Economics, International Trade and International Economics.

General requirements
- A minimum CGPA of 3.0 (or equivalent) in STPM/Matriculation/Foundation/Diploma program or equivalent is required. Mathematics should be one of the subjects taken and the grade obtained should be at least a B.
- Completed 12 years of Primary and High School Education and
- Obtained High School Certificate (eg. A-Level, HSC, SMU, & UAN (Indonesia), Matayom Suksa 6 (Thailand), International Baccalaureate etc.) or
- Diploma in the related field
- Official certificates, transcripts, mark sheets or school report from each secondary or college attended
- Translated copy of certificates (if issued other than English or Malay Language)
- IELTS/TOEFL/MUET/CAE/CPE/PTE/Authorization Letter from an institution in which the medium instruction is English
- Copy of passport (Details page only in A4 size)
- Student Pass (if study in Malaysia)
- Letter of scholarship (if any)
