The University of Toledo has a top-ranked program in Operation and Supply Chain Management. It is one of the few U.S. universities to offer the Operation and Supply Chain Management program of The University of Toledo. Our College of Business and Innovation has also been ranked one of the best undergraduate business colleges by Bloomberg.
Operation managers oversee a business’ entire operation and help it run more smoothly. They manage people and resources. Here’s a sampling of what they do:

- A broad, versatile degree. UToledo OSCM students take a broad array of classes in our nationally ranked College of Business and Innovation: information systems, operations, marketing, sales and international business.
- State-of-the-art computer software and simulations. Information technology is becoming increasingly important in the field. UToledo undergrads learn how to use the latest enterprise resource planning software.
- Internships. Work with accomplished professionals in the supply chain management field while earning college credit and a paycheck. Internships often lead to full-time positions.
- Research-active faculty members who involve students in their work.
- Free certification exam prep. Certification isn’t required to practice. But employers love job candidates who have passed at least one of the two CPIM (production and inventory management) exams. UToledo offers free test prep and pays your exam fee if you pass.
- Network. Interact with area professionals by joining UToledo’s student chapter of APICS, an association for supply chain management. Members hone their skills by entering case competitions. Teams of students analyze business case studies to solve problems.
- Online and evening classes. Keep your job and work on your degree at night or online, when it’s convenient for you.
- Top 100 master’s program. UToledo’s MBA program in operations management has been ranked one of the world’s 100 best.
