3 Bachelor's degrees in Art History in Germany
Byzantine Archaeology and Art History
Students of Byzantine Archaeology and Art History at the Heidelberg University consider research relating to the material legacies of the late Antique and Byzantine period.
Artistic Practice and Society
The BA program in Artistic Practice and Society at Bard College Berlin a Liberal Arts University not only considers the question of what art “is” but the issue of how the categories that have framed it can be reexamined: the juxtaposition of nature with culture, of academic research with artistic creativity, and the tensions between art and political expression or organization.
East Asian Art History
The East Asian Art History programme at the Heidelberg University focuses on the art, archaeology, and material culture of China, Japan and, to a lesser extent, Korea. All art forms will be studied, from painting and calligraphy to sculpture and architecture to ceramics, handiwork, and photography, as represented in all epochs, from the Neolithic Age to the present.
