Description

SJM Concerts funds scholarships to help business, law and events students from Black, Asian or minority ethnic backgrounds. The scholarships aim to remove the financial barriers to education with the hope of improving diversity in the events industry.

 

Benefits

Funding of up to £4,500 for business law and events students from Black Asian and Minority Ethnic backgrounds.

Value: £1,500 per year for three years, for ten students.

Eligibility

You must: (delete as appropriate)

  • Be from a Black, Asian or minority ethnic background.
  • Hold a firm offer to study a new full-time course in the 2026/27 academic year, excluding foundation year and distance learning, on one of the following courses:
    • LLB (Hons)
    • BA (Hons) Business Management
    • BA (Hons) Business Management with Law
    • BA (Hons) Events Management
    • BA (Hons) Music and Sound Design
  • Have a household income of £42,875 or less. We’ll check this against your Student Finance application. Please contact us if you will not be applying to Student Finance for a maintenance loan.
  • Be a UK student - English, Scottish, Welsh or Northern Irish - paying the standard full-time fees, and have a UK Student Support Number.
  • Pay for your course yourself, including through a student loan or a payment from your parents. Your course fees must not be paid by a business, charity or other organisation.
