Description
This John Pain Scholarship scholarship has funding for a stage 1 and stage 3 undergraduate student, who need financial support for their studies.
This scholarship is for an Agriculture-related course in our School of Natural and Environmental Sciences.
Benefits
Stage 1 undergraduate student
Only 1 scholarship is available for their stage 1 student.
The award is a one-off payment of £3,000.
Stage 3 undergraduate student
Only 1 scholarship is available for their stage 3 student.
The award is a one-off payment of £2,000.
Applications are by competitive process.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this award, you must be:
- a UK based undergraduate student, entering stage 1 or stage 3 of study
- registered on one of the following courses:
- Agriculture (including Agronomy, Animal Production Science, Farm Business Management)
- Applied Plant Science
- Agri-Business Management
- Food Business Marketing and Management
- Countryside Management
- Rural Studies or Sustainable Land and Business Management
- able to show financial need for the award. This could include:
- unable to cover the basic cost of living
- unable to take part in extra-curricular activities
- having to work more than 10-hours per week
