In 1937, Madonna University (then known as Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Junior College) was established by Mother Mary DeSales Tocka and her council in the Felician Central Convent in Livonia, with a first year enrollment of 18 Sisters.

Description

Madonna University is committed to supporting students in pursuit of their goals through a range of scholarships and grants awarded based on academic performance, financial need, athletic experience, and group affiliation. Scholarships and grants are awards that do not need to be repaid and are awarded at the time of admission to Madonna.

Transfer Student Merit Scholarships are awarded to students transferring to MU from a 2-year or 4-year institution. Awards only applies to students at the Livonia Campus.

Benefits

The awards range from $4,000 to $14,000 per year.

Eligibility

  • Transfer merit scholarships are offered to students who are attending a regionally accredited four-year or community college pursuing their first degree and will be transferring to enroll full-time at Madonna University.
  • Attending (or previously attended) a regionally accredited four-year or community college as a degree-seeking student;
  • Pursuing a first degree (not a second bachelor’s degree); 
  • Newly admitted to Madonna University; and 
  • Enrolling full-time.
