Description

For incoming first-year international citizens (not U.S. citizens or permanent residents) who are graduates of a high school outside the U.S. International first-year students who will graduate from a U.S. high school are eligible for domestic non-resident scholarships.

Benefits

The value of the award is $2,000 - $15,000 per year.

Eligibility

  • Nonresident undergraduate first-year students who submit a complete application for admission by February 2, 2026 are automatically considered for the National Scholars Award.
  • Scholarship awarding and amounts are based on outstanding academic merit (standardized test scores and GPA) and exceptional promise at the University of Iowa.
