Description

Fung Hoi Scholarship is donated by Prof Grace Ai-ling Chou and will be to one or two Year 1-2 full-time undergraduate students majoring in Global Development and Sustainability or Global Liberal Arts.

 

Benefits

The scholarship is worth HK$5,000 each for max. 2 students.

Eligibility

  • The Scholarship shall be awarded to one or two Year 1-2 full-time undergraduate students majoring in Global Development and Sustainability (GDS) Programme / Global Liberal Arts (GLA) Programme.
  • The awardee(s) should achieve a minimum CGPA of 3.00 and have achieved a grade B+ or above in each of the four required courses, i.e. Interdisciplinary Inquiry for Global Challenges (GDS1001)/ Global Inquiry and Research (GLA1003); International Development and Peace in the Global Age (GDS1002); Cultural Diversity and Community Well-Being (GDS1003)/ Global Perspectives from the Arts (GLA1004); and Global Business and Sustainable Development (GDS1004).

Candidates shall be required to submit an essay of around 500 words, identifying any socially-significant problem on a global, regional or local scale and suggesting potential solutions that draw from at least three of the four required courses (GDS1001/ GLA 1003, GDS1002, GDS1003/ GLA1004 and GDS1004).
