Description
Thomas Hudner was a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and became a naval aviator. Jesse Brown, the child of African-American sharecroppers, was born in Depression-era Mississippi. A racial pioneer, Jesse completed flight training and became America’s first Black naval aviator.

Eligibility
They invite children of Sailors to apply for our scholarship program. Eligibility criteria includes:
- Child of an active duty, reserve, honorably discharged, or fallen Sailor.
- GPA of at least 2.0.
- Demonstrated financial need.
- Planning to pursue a degree in science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM) or health science.
