Description
The Department of Technology has several departmental scholarships available every year. The Franzie Loepp Endowed Scholarship for Technology and Engineering Education values listed are the expected amounts to be distributed. Please be aware that scholarship award amounts are contingent upon the portfolio performance and market conditions.

The scholarship is worth $1,500.
Eligibility
- Open to entering or continuing majors in Technology and Engineering Education.
- Continuing majors must have demonstrated academic achievement, as evidenced by an accumulative GPA of at least 3.50 in Technology and Engineering courses.
- First year majors must have an accumulative high school GPA of at least 3.2 on a 4.0 scale or be ranked in the top 25% of their graduating class.
- Applications must include letters of recommendation from two teachers; one of whom must be from a Technology and Engineering teacher. The applicant must also submit a letter that describes a project completed (illustration or digital image helpful) and why she/he would like to become a Technology and Engineering education teacher.

All scholarship documents including completed applications, and letters of recommendation must be received by March 1 of each year.
Names and contact information for three references are required as part of the application. References should be able to attest to student's character, leadership, academic potential, and dependability.
