Dr. Leapard taught undergraduate and graduate courses in mathematics education at Eastern Michigan University from 1993 – 2013.

In 2004, Dr. Leapard was awarded the Distinguished Faculty Award for Teaching. She inspired both her students and colleagues with her hard work, friendliness and southern humor.
