Description
The Leslie Peter & Norma Evelyn Johnson Scholarship was established by Emeritus Professor Larry Johnson in memory of his parents Leslie Peter and Norma Evelyn Johnson, to recognize demonstrated excellence in Illustration and tosupport an undergraduate student with the potential for professional accomplishment in the field of illustrative arts.

Eligibility
This scholarship is open to students who meet the following criteria:
- Continuing Undergraduate student.
- Must be a Senior (having completed 90 or more units).
- Must be completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) with an emphasis in Illustration (including BFA Drawing concentrations).
- Must be enrolled full-time (minimum 12 units) for the full 2026-2027 academic year.
- Good academic standing.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.
Criteria - Applicants will be evaluated based on:
- Emphasis is placed heavily on demonstrated excellence in drawing skills.
- Potential for professional accomplishment in the illustrative arts.
- Fulfillment of senior standing (90+ units) and full-time enrollment requirements.

Log into your CSUF portal and click on the “Scholarships” app on the lefthand side. Follow the onscreen instructions and complete the CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY - FULLERTON SCHOLARSHIP & AWARD APPLICATION
Submit single PDF file of artwork; file must contain no more than six images on six separate pages; and below each image, provide the image number, title, size of work, medium, and date of completion. Upload file to Scholarship Application. Title files “Your Last Name_First Name”.
Write an essay or personal statement of achievement (300-500 words) explaining how the scholarship will help you to accomplish your academic and professional goals.
Optional: Provide one letter of recommendation from someone who can speak to your creative achievement or academic potential.
