Description

This scholarship was established by Robin and Steve Kalota to provide significant financial support to students demonstrating commitment and potential within the Glass discipline. The fund provides flexible financial assistance to students within the Visual Arts Department, honoring the donors' commitment to fostering artistic growth and providing opportunities for students to pursue advanced education in their craft.

Eligibility

This scholarship is open to students who meet the following criteria:

  • Continuing undergraduate or graduate student at CSUF.
  • Enrolled in the Visual Arts Department, typically with a focused specialization in Glass or Sculpture (BA or BFA).
  • Must be enrolled full-time (minimum 12 units for undergraduates) for the full 2026-2027 academic year.
  • Maintenance of good academic standing with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.

Criteria - Applicants will be evaluated based on the following:

  • Artistic merit and demonstrated focus within the Glass or related sculpture discipline.
  • Commitment to the degree program and academic standing.
  • Need for financial assistance to continue regular studies or to fund specialized off-campus academic opportunities, such as the Pilchuck Glass Program
