Description

The Eleanor and Benjamin Jones Women's and Gender Studies Scholarship was established in 2021 with a gift from former Program Director, Dr. Kim Jones-Owen, in memory of her parents, Eleanor and Benjamin Jones.

Dr. Jones-Owen served as director of the Women's and Gender Studies Program from 1994-2008. Her focus on faculty and curriculum development initiatives led to the establishment of an undergraduate major in women's studies in 2004.
