Description
Established in 1999, the Outstanding Women's Studies Student Award recognizes a declared Women’s and Gender Studies major or minor that has demonstrated excellence in academic performance, campus activities, and/or community service.
This is an honorary award and each year the recipient’s name is engraved on a perpetual plaque displayed in the Women’s and Gender Studies office. Each recipient receives a plaque or other appropriate symbol that represents the spirit of the award.
Benefits
There is no monetary gift attached to the award.
Eligibility
Nominees must:
- Have a declared Women’s and Gender Studies major or minor at Ball State University.
- Have at least a 3.0 overall grade point average.
- Have demonstrated academic excellence in academic performance, campus activities, and or community service.

Nominations will be accepted from February through the yearly April deadline. Recipients are selected by a Women’s and Gender Studies program committee.
