Description
The award was established together with the Dr. Whitney Gordon Scholarship by Dr. Vaneeta-marie D'Andrea to honor the Gordons, both of whom were excellent teacher-scholars at Ball State University.
The purpose of the award is to honor and assist students who demonstrate a history of or interest in community service and disadvantaged populations.
The Dr. Hilda Gordon Scholarship is awarded to a student in the Department of Psychological Science in even years and the Dr. Whitney Gordon Scholarship is awarded to a student in the Department of Sociology in odd years.

Eligibility
- Must be a sophomore, junior or senior.
- Major in Psychology at Ball State University.
- Grades are not criteria or condition for eligibility or consideration.
- Community service work or interest in disadvantaged populations is weighed favorably and encouraged.

To apply for consideration for the W. W. Renke scholarship, please complete and submit the following materials in PDF format (either as four separate files or as a single combined file) via email to the chair of the Undergraduate Committee, no later than 4:30 p.m. on the Friday before Spring Break:
