The purpose of the Eldred George Mugford, In Memory of Clare H. Mugford, R.N., Scholarship is to provide scholarships to Ball State University nursing students or students who have been accepted in its nursing program in accordance with the stated preferences.

- No student shall receive this scholarship for more than one (1) year;
- Freshman candidate must have a high school GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent;
