The scholarship encourages students in the field that Mrs. Findling practiced as a member of the Navy Medical Corps. 

A graduate of St. Luke’s School of Nursing in Pittsfield, MA she was the chief operating nurse at the Newport, RI Naval Hospital.

Benefits

A $40,000 gift from a World War II nurse and her husband, Philomena "Fifi" and James Findling, established this School of Nursing scholarship.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be Ball State nursing students.

Preference is given to:

  • Juniors and seniors.
  • Applicants with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Daleville High School graduates.
