Description
Established by his family, the award is in loving memory of Blair H. Tetreault, who passed away in 2021. Blair graduated from the Broadcasting-Radio and Television Program of Algonquin College in 1981. Following work as an editor for various news and public affairs programs at the local Ottawa CTV affiliate, Blair transitioned to live sports broadcasting as an editor, tape operator, technical director, director and producer. He was a two-time Emmy Award winner. Blair was highly and warmly regarded for his technical expertise and collegiality.

Eligibility
- Awarded to students entering the second year of the Broadcasting-Television program who, in the first year of the program, achieved a GPA of at least 3.6 and who contributed meaningfully to a sense of collegiality among fellow students, professors and others involved in the Broadcasting-Television Program.
- Specifically, the student demonstrates the following: is cooperative, caring, pleasant, strives to build consensus and is always ready to lend a helping hand.
