Description
ASF scholarships are awarded to both Dutch students and international students based on academic merit and financial need. The scholarships include both full and partial scholarships and are given for three years of study.
Benefits
There are currently two levels of ASF Scholarship being paid:
Standard: EUR 4,000 (for Dutch and international students)
Full-ride: EUR 26,000 (for “non-EEA” students only*)
Eligibility
For your scholarship application to be considered by the ASF Selection Committee, you must meet the following requirements:
- You must have also applied for a place at AUC. Admission to AUC is a separate process. For more information on applications and admissions, see the links in the left-hand menu. Only AUC students can receive an ASF scholarship.
- Your family income has to be below the threshold.
Your family income has to be below a certain amount in order for you to be eligible for a standard or full-ride ASF Scholarship.
- Your family income is defined as the total annual income before tax deductions of both of your parents/guardians. This includes non-taxable income such as benefits or pensions.
- If you are not Dutch and not eligible for Dutch student finance (studiefinanciering), the family income threshold is EUR 54,000.
- If you are Dutch and/or eligible for Dutch student finance (studiefinanciering), the additional grant from DUO is used to measure your family income. You must receive or be eligible for the maximum additional grant (aanvullende beurs) from DUO.

Applications are currently closed for new ASF scholarships, as all funding has been awarded for 2025-2026. Applications are scheduled to re-open in October 2026, and more details will be published then.
