Description

While working on these research projects in their academic discipline, students gain insight into the professional world, enhance their knowledge base and critical thinking skills, and better prepare themselves for their path after they graduate from MU.

Benefits

Discovery Fellows are awarded a scholarship of $3,000 for the year dispersed in two equal installments during the year and only if the student meets the program requirements.

Eligibility

  • Current first-year students and entering freshmen with an ACT composite score of 32 or SAT score of 1420 are eligible for this program. No prior research work is required.

The Honors College application will automatically appear on your Application Status Page once the office of admissions has reviewed your materials and you meet one of the following criteria:

  • ACT score of 31 or above;
  • SAT score of 1390 or above;
  • High School GPA of 3.75 or above (as recorded by Mizzou Admissions);
  • ACT score of 28-30 and a top 20% class rank (for ranking high schools);
  • SAT score of 1300-1380 and a top 20% class rank (for ranking high schools).
