National Merit Finalists is available to qualifying students that designate Texas Tech University as their first choice institution. To increase your chances of an academic award, please apply to Texas Tech as soon as possible.

Eligibility
- Available to students that designate Texas Tech University as their first choice institution.
- National Merit Finalists who select Texas Tech University and are not residents of the State of Texas, qualify for Texas Tech's National Merit Scholars Program.
- Students that qualify for participation in this program will be eligible for 4 years of undergraduate studies. Students should enroll in 30 hours per academic year and maintain a minimum 3.5 GPA.
