Description

The purpose of this scholarship is to support ex-pupils of Te Kura Tamatāne o Whakatū | Nelson College studying sciences at Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha | University of Canterbury.

Benefits

The scholarship is worth financial assistance at a value of $8,000 per annum for up to four years.

Eligibility

  • The scholarship is tenable during full-time or part-time enrolment in a Bachelor of Science (BSc) and, if applicable, a BSc(Hons) and/or a Master of Science (MSc) at the University.
  • Recipients must have been enrolled at Te Kura Tamatāne o Whakatū | Nelson College for not less than two years. Recipients, on 1 March of the year of tenure, must be at least 16 years old.
  • Selection will be based on academic achievement, especially in any three of the subjects Chemistry, Physics, Calculus, Mathematics, and Statistics; leadership potential; and involvement in sport, cultural, and/or community activities.
