Description

Initiated in 2012, the Thomas More Law School Academic Excellence Scholarship reflects ACU's commitment to academic excellence in the School’s undergraduate programs in Law, and Criminology and Criminal Justice.

Benefits

This scholarship is valued at up to $10,000, to be paid in instalments of $1,250 per semester.

Eligibility

This scholarship is open to applicants who meet all of following criteria:

  • Faculty and School: Thomas More Law School, Faculty of Law and Business 
  • Course: any undergraduate degree (Bachelor of Human Rights is excluded as this course is under the Faculty of Education & Arts)
  • Study load: full-time enrolment in Semester 1
  • Completed at least 60 credit points of study in the course through the Thomas More Law School by the scholarship closing date. Credit granted through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), advanced standing or credit transfer does not count towards this requirement.
  • Minimum GPA of 5.5 (on the ACU seven-point scale)

Applicants will be required to provide the following as part of the application:

A written statement of approximately 500 words, outlining why you want to undertake an ACU Law and/or Criminology and Criminal Justice degree.

Two letters of recommendation (one academic and one personal).

Interview (shortlisted applicants only).
