Description

The following scholarship opportunities are available to new incoming freshmen, transferring and continuing Native American undergraduate students with tribal citizenship who have been admitted or are enrolled at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Benefits

Covers the remaining cost of tuition, campus fees, and room/board allowance not covered by other federal, state, institutional and private awards, including Federal Pell Grant and the State of Illinois Monetary Award Program (MAP) Grant.

Eligibility

  • Members of the Peoria Tribe of Indians of Oklahoma (connected historically with the state of Illinois) who have filed the FAFSA.

The Peoria Tribe Scholarship application form and all supporting materials should be sent to the Office of Student Financial Aid.

Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2025-2026 academic year and indicate planned enrollment at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (entering federal school code 001775).

Submit tribal citizenship documentation (Ex. U.S. Department of the Interior Bureau of Indian Affairs Card and/or Tribal Citizenship card).
