Description

The Bursary is awarded to new undergraduate students from England, Northern Ireland and Wales who pay a tuition fee.

Benefits

To attract the best students regardless of background we offer the Strathclyde Access Bursary of up to £3,000 per year of study. 

Eligibility

  • The Bursary is awarded to new undergraduate students from England, Northern Ireland and Wales who enter the University in the current academic year and pay a tuition fee of £9,790 per year.
  • When assessing bursary entitlement, the University will use the household income figure calculated by Student Finance England, Wales or Northern Ireland.
  • Students who receive a Faculty tuition fee scholarship that reduces their annual fee are not eligible for this bursary.

Eligible students will be identified automatically through their application to Student Finance England, Wales or Northern Ireland.

If you are eligible you will receive a letter to the address held by the Student Loan Company (SLC) (usually your home address). This will be sent once your household income has been confirmed by SLC.

The letter will include the level of award and the payment dates. The payments will be made into the same bank account as your student loan.
