Description
The following merit scholarship is available to international students in the first year.
Benefits
They award eligible students discounts of £1,000 for each A or A* grade (up to a maximum of £3,000) above the standard offer for courses run by:
Chemistry and Chemical Engineering
Economic, Social and Political Sciences
Southampton Education School
School of Mathematical Sciences
For example, if you need A, B and B in your A levels and you get A*, A and B, you will get £2,000 towards your first year tuition fees.
Eligibility
To be eligible for a scholarship you must:
- need to pay the overseas tuition fee
- have a conditional or unconditional offer to study an eligible course
- be starting in Year 1 of an eligible course
Other eligibility criteria depend on which school offers your course.
For scholarships offered by the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, the School of Economic, Social and Political Science and the Southampton Education School, you must both exceed your offer and achieve either:
- an A level A or A* grade
- an International Baccalaureate grade 6 or 7 or Higher level
- equivalent qualifications
