Description
The scheme is designed to remove barriers to higher education by offering financial assistance and dedicated support throughout a student's studies. Eligible students receive ongoing guidance from the University's student support services.
Benefits
£2,400 for care leavers.
£1,500 for care-experienced students.
£1,000 for estranged students.
Eligibility
To be eligible, you must:
- Be a Home/UK undergraduate student or a PGCE student (who is not receiving a teacher training bursary).
Provide one of the following:
- A letter from your local authority, social worker, personal adviser, or key worker confirming your care leaver or care-experienced status.
- Confirmation from Student Finance England (SFE) that you have been assessed as an estranged student.
- A letter confirming your young adult carer status.
