Description

This information is for UK/Home students applying to study at Northumbria University on a Full-Time Undergraduate course in the academic year.

Benefits

Successful students will receive a total of £4,000, paid in instalments throughout years one, two and three. This additional support will help students focus on their studies and assist with budgeting.  All eligible self-funded students will be short listed and considered.

Eligibility

To be considered for the Northumbria Undergraduate Award you must also;

  • Be a UK/Home applicant - This includes students domiciled in Jersey, Guernsey, The Channel Islands, Ireland and Isle of Man
  • Apply and enrol to study on a on a Full-Time basis on an Undergraduate Course starting in first year at Level 4 at the Newcastle Upon Tyne campus, commencing September
  • Have chosen Northumbria as your firm choice by 30 June
  • Meet the conditions of your offer and individual entry requirements
  • Be a self-funded student (i.e. not sponsored by an employer)
  • Apply for one or more elements of the Government Student Finance package (for example, Tuition Fee loan, Maintenance loan)
  • Register with Student Finance England (SFE), Student Finance Wales (SFW) or Student Finance Northern Ireland (SFNI)
  • As a Scottish student, register with Student Award Agency for Scotland (SAAS) and apply to be means-tested for maintenance funding, in order that SASS can send your data to Student Finance England
  • Agree to share consent via your Student Finance Provider with Northumbria University
