Description

Liverpool John Moores University  can support you financially if you are admitted to one of its study programmes as an international student.

Liverpool John Moores University awards scholarships, bursaries, tuition fee reductions and discounts that help you cover existing tuition and living costs. 

Benefits

Amount awarded: Up to £5,000 each year for the duration of your course excluding placement years (terms and conditions apply) 

Eligibility

  • Open to: UK (home) or ROI students

Not open to: Students who already have an honours degree, international students, students on a course that attracts additional funding via the NHS Learner Support Fund, postgraduate students.

Who should apply?

The Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship is awarded to five remarkable students starting an undergraduate degree course at LJMU in September. These scholars will be selected to represent the diverse and talented LJMU community from all the scholarship applications we receive prior to the deadline.

  • You must have LJMU as your first choice (firm) via UCAS
  • You must have a household income below £25,000.
  • We are particularly keen to hear from you if you have engaged with your community in some way such as fundraised, championed for inclusion, been a mentor for others in your situation and/or community, worked with the leaving care team etc.
  • You must be able to demonstrate a sustained level of commitment and achievement in this activity.
  • You must be willing to act as an ambassador for LJMU

In addition you must meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • You are from a minority ethnic group
  • You currently in care or have had experience of local authority care
  • You are a young adult carer and have been recognised as such by your local authority.
  • You are disabled
  • You are mature (21+ on the first of September)
