The fund is designed to remove financial barriers for students wishing to attend:

Offer Holder Days

Campus Tours

On-campus Interviews

Approved Regional Interviews

Students pay their travel costs first and are then reimbursed after attending an eligible event.

Benefits

Travel reimbursement based on distance:

Within Cornwall: £10

Up to 100 miles: £20

101–150 miles: £50

151–250 miles: £80

251+ miles: £100

Eligibility

Applicants must:

  • Be a UK resident.
  • Be applying for their first undergraduate degree.
  • Have studied (or be studying) at a UK state school, sixth form, college or academy.

Meet at least one widening participation criterion, such as:

  • receive or have received Free School Meals, Pupil Premium or 16–19 Bursary;
  • be a care leaver or care experienced;
  • be a young carer;
  • have a disability or specific learning difference;
  • be estranged;
  • be a refugee/asylum seeker;
  • live in an area with low higher education participation;
  • have a parent serving in the Armed Forces;
  • be a mature student (21+).
