Description

Established in 2021 by Nick Comninos Xylas, the scholarship was originally named the Matti Michael Xylas (MMX) Scholarship and was renamed the Stamatia Michael Xylas (SMX) Scholarship in 2023.

It recognizes applicants who demonstrate academic excellence, financial need, and strong potential for future growth. The scholarship supports students pursuing postgraduate studies in shipping, trade, and energy at Bayes Business School.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

  • Have accepted the offer and paid the tuition fee deposit before applying.
  • Demonstrate academic excellence (normally equivalent to a UK First Class Honours degree).
  • Demonstrate financial need.
  • There are no nationality or geographical restrictions.

Hold a conditional or unconditional offer for one of the following programmes:

  • MSc Energy, Trade and Finance
  • MSc Shipping, Trade and Finance
