Description

The College of Engineering, Design & Physical Sciences (CEDPS) Academic Excellence Scholarship is a cash award available to full-time students commencing specified undergraduate courses in the College of Engineering, Design and Physical Sciences.

Benefits

The College of Engineering, Design & Physical Sciences (CEDPS) Academic Excellence Scholarship offers £2,000 cash each year for a maximum of three years for a full-time course and for a maximum of three years for a sandwich course.

Eligibility

Scholarships will be awarded to all those applicants who meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Must hold an offer of a place on a full time Undergraduate course within the College of Engineering, Design and Physical Sciences (including placement routes and undergraduate integrated Masters programmes but excluding Integrated Foundation courses).
  • This includes offers made through UCAS Clearing. Clearing applicants must ensure that they inform the Student Loans Company (SLC) at the earliest opportunity that they are attending Brunel University of London.
  • Offer must be for FHEQ Level 4 (Year 1) of the course.
  • Offer must be ‘Unconditional Firm’ (UF) by the date the Scholarship Allocation is concluded 31st August 2026 (i.e. applicant must have met all offer conditions and firmly accepted the place).
  • Must commence the course in the upcoming academic year (applicants for deferred entry will be considered for a scholarship in the year they start their course and not in the year of their course application).
  • Must achieve or exceed one of the following qualifications and grades:
    • 3 A Levels with grades AAB or above
    • International Baccalaureate Diploma with 33 points or above
    • BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma or BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma with grades D*D*D* or above
    • 3 Scottish Advanced Highers with grades AAB or above
    • Higher Irish Leaving Certificate from 5 subjects with grades H2, H2, H2, H3, H3 (or AAABB from the pre-2017 grading system) or above

There is no separate application, all students will be considered for the scholarship automatically based on the information supplied in their course application.

Allocation of the scholarship begins in July and award assessment will conclude on 31 August 2026. Awards will be confirmed by the Scholarship Allocation Panel by late September, following publication of the UK A Level examination results.
