Description
The Presidential Scholarship is VCU’s most prestigious award for first-year students, covering tuition, fees, and room and board for four years based on academic excellence.
Benefits
The four-year Presidential Scholarship covers the cost of tuition and fees up to $16,000 per year (maximum amount of $8,000 per semester), as well as room and board. Room allowance is equal to the cost of a room in the Honors College residence hall; board is equivalent to the 250 Block plus $225 Dining Dollars meal plan.
The estimated total value of this four-year award is approximately $114,356.
Eligibility
To be considered for a university-level scholarship as a first-year student:
- Your application materials (Common Application plus an official high school transcript) must be received by the Office of Admissions by Nov. 1.
Recipients are selected based on academic merit. Leadership, community service and artistic talent (when applicable) also may be considered.
