Description
This Scholarship was established in 2014 to support undergraduate student(s) studying Arabic Language and Cultures at the University of Sydney.
This Scholarship has been donated by the Estate of the late Phillip David Jack.
Benefits
The Scholarship is tenable for one year and will cover the academic tuition fees for two Arabic Language and Cultures units of study, and $4,000 per annum living allowance.
Eligibility
You must:
- have completed at least one semester and be currently enrolled in their first or second year in an undergraduate degree
- be enrolled in either
- an Arabic Language and Cultures major, or
- at least one or more Arabic Language and Cultures unit in the School of Languages and Cultures
- be intending to enrol in at least one more Arabic Language and Cultures unit
- have a WAM of 75 in Arabic Language and Cultures units
- have a WAM of 70 for all other units.
Note: Students who hold a primary scholarship of $8,000 per year or more if enrolled full-time, or $4,000 per annum or more if enrolled part-time for the same purpose as this scholarship are not eligible.
