Description
This Scholarship has been established in 2010 from a generous bequest made by Emilie Marguerite Schweitzer to the Department of French and Francophone Studies and the Department of Germanic Studies.
Benefits
This scholarship is valued at $20,000 per annum for up to one year for full-time recipients. Recipients enrolled part-time will receive 50% of the full-time rate for up to two years.
Eligibility
You must:
- be currently enrolled in 4000-level units of study within the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences in one of the following:
- Bachelor of Arts (Languages),
- Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Advanced Studies,
- Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Advanced Studies (Languages)
- Bachelor of Arts (Honours), or
- have completed a Bachelor of Arts with a major in French and Francophone Studies or in Germanic Studies at the University of Sydney or another University and having an unconditional offer of admission and subsequently enrol in 4000-level units of study within the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences in one of the following:
- Bachelor of Arts (Honours), or
- Bachelor of Advanced Studies (Honours).
- be majoring in French and Francophone Studies or in Germanic Studies.
- have received an average of 70% in six units of study in French and Francophone Studies or in Germanic Studies.
