Description

This scholarship was established in 2017 by an annual donation from Mary A Henderson. The scholarship aims to encourage students, particularly women to study economic history as part of their economics program.

Benefits

A recipient enrolled full-time will receive the scholarship valued at $8,000 per annum for up to one year.

A recipient approved to hold the scholarship part-time will receive the scholarship valued at $4,000 per annum for up to two years.

Eligibility

You must:

  • be currently enrolled full-time in a Bachelor of Economics or Bachelor of Economics combined degree at the University of Sydney
  • be planning to enrol or be currently enrolled in at least two of the following Economic History units of study during the duration of the scholarship:
    • ECOS3004 History of Economic Thought,
    • IECOS3024 Economic History, and/or
    • ECON4913 Topics in Economic History
  • have achieved an annual average mark (AAM) of at least 65 or above, at the time of application
  • not have previously been awarded this Scholarship.
