Description
This scholarship aims to financially support an asylum seeker to commence an undergraduate degree at the University of Sydney.
Benefits
The scholarship will cover tuition fees of up to $50,000 per year, for the duration of the recipients approved course.
Eligibility
You must:
- be an international student
- hold asylum seeker status in Australia including one of the following visas (or equivalent) at the time of application:
- Bridging Visa E or A (and has made an application for a Protection Visa)
- Temporary Protection Visa (Subclass 785)
- Safe Haven Enterprise Visa (Subclass 790)
- have completed an Australian year 12 program (or equivalent) in the year before commencing study
- have been living in Australia for a minimum of 12 months before commencing study
- be commencing in an undergraduate course of up to four years in the fields of STEM, architecture and design, commerce (excluding economics) or pharmacy
- not have previously undertaken tertiary education in Australia.
