Description
This scholarship is a partial tuition award. Recipients will receive the scholarship for four years, contingent upon maintaining good academic standing. Students must submit a separate application when applying for this scholarship.
The #YouAreWelcomeHere Scholarship was developed as a result of U.S. higher education institutions’ commitment to providing a welcoming, safe and diverse environment to international students.
Benefits
TU is proud to support this initiative by offering two annual, renewable scholarships to undergraduate applicants. This scholarship covers 50% of tuition costs and is renewable for up to four years of study. The scholarships are open to first-year international students admitted for undergraduate degree-seeking study at TU – transfer students are not eligible for this scholarship.
Please note that this scholarship is not stackable with other scholarships.
Eligibility
- Be a first-year, undergraduate international applicant to TU and complete an application for admission.
- Demonstrate interest and personal initiative in activities involving intercultural learning and exchange.
- Applicants must complete the YAWH scholarship application and a 500-1000 word essay or a two-to-five minute video answering the following prompt: “Tell us about your leadership skills in your school or community, and how you plan to continue applying your leadership skills at The University of Tulsa.”

Apply for admission using TU’s international application or the Common App.
Complete the #YAWH Scholarship application and submit the application and all materials via email to TU by March 16.
