Description
Each year the Tjabal Indigenous Higher Education Centre may offer the Shirley Kral Study Grant with the aim of providing encouragement and financial support to mature aged female Indigenous students with the educational expenses associated with studying an undergraduate degree at the Australian National University.
Benefits
The grant provides a one-off payment of $1,000 to assist with educational expenses.
Eligibility
The award is available each year to a current ANU student who:
- is a domestic student
- identifies as female
- is of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person
- is accepted as such by the community in which they live or formerly lived
- is a mature aged student*
- is enrolled in an undergraduate degree
* ANU defines mature aged students as students who are over the age of 21 when they begin their undergraduate studies.
