Description

The Bassett Downs Endowment will provide funds for the Bassett Downs Scholarship for Glass to promote excellence in glass craft skills and will be awarded every second year(not on offer in 2022). The Scholarship is to assist students who have gained entry into the Honours Year of an undergraduate program offered by the School of Art Glass Workshop in the ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences.

Benefits

The Scholarship is valued at $7,000. The scholar will receive $3,000 per semester plus an additional one-off payment of $1,000 to be used for the purchase of relevant materials.

Eligibility

To be considered for this scholarship, a student must:

  • have an exceptionally high level of competence in glass craft material and technical skills;and
  • be eligible to enrol into the honours Year of an undergraduate program offered by the School of Art.

When making recommendations for this scholarship, the Head of School (or nominees) shall take into account:

  • the applicant's academic record;and
  • the applicants high level of competence in glass craft material and technical skills asdemonstrated through images of their work
