Description

To attract top achieving commencing international students completing the Senior Secondary School from China, and are admitted based on their Gaokao results into an undergraduate program at UTS in Sydney.

Benefits

Category One:

UTS will pay 75% of each Recipient’s UTS tuition fees for the course enrolled in for the duration ofthe Scholarship as defined in clause 4.

Category Two:

UTS will pay 50% of each Recipient’s UTS tuition fees for the course enrolled in for the duration ofthe Scholarship as defined in clause 4.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for the Scholarship, an applicant must meet all the following criteria:

  • Must be an international student (not an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen or permanent resident of Australia); and
  • Must have completed Senior Secondary School (Gao San) in China and undertaken the Gaokao administrated by Provincial or Municipal Education Examination Authority, China; and
  • Must meet all UTS admission criteria for the selected UTS undergraduate degree course; and
  • Must have completed the Gaokao with a competitive score, no longer than one year prior to commencing at UTS, and be admitted based on this qualification to UTS; and
  •  Must commence full-time and on-campus (Sydney); and

Must not:

  • be studying a UTS online degree or distance degree; or
  • be a government sponsored student; or
  • be a recipient of another UTS scholarship for the duration of this Scholarship.

UTS Future Learner Recruitment and Admissions will automatically consider all commencing international students from China who have completed the Gaokao no longer than one year prior to commencing at UTS, and are applying for an undergraduate coursework program at UTS in Sydney. 

To be considered for this scholarship, application for course admission must be submitted by 30 September of the previous year for Autumn session (February/March start) commencement.

Applications of eligible candidates will be presented to a Scholarships Selection Committee, which will undertake the selection of Recipients, usually in September/October for Autumn session.
