Description
The Merit Scholarship is valid as long as ITU students do not interrupt their education. This period constitutes the normal education period, including English Preparatory Education, and is a period of maximum 5 years. The Merit Scholarship is valid for 12 months during each academic year for the education period.

Achievement scholarships will be awarded based on the students' placement scores.
Eligibility
Turkey Rankings 1-100:
- The achievement and dormitory award will be terminated if the student's overall GPA falls below 2.50 on a scale of 4.00 at the end of each academic year.
Turkey Rankings 101-500:
- The achievement and dormitory award will be terminated if the student's overall GPA falls below 2.50 on a scale of 4.00 at the end of each academic year.
Turkey Rankings 501-1000:
- The achievement and dormitory award will be terminated if the student's overall GPA falls below 2.50 on a scale of 4.00 at the end of each academic year.

This scholarship is given to students based on the score of the department in which they are placed in the AYT (Field Proficiency Test) score type as a result of the YKS (Higher Education Institutions Examination) conducted by the Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM). The scholarship is given in various amounts according to the degree of success for 5 years, including the preparatory education.
